“Sod the wine, I want to suck on the writing. This man White is an instinctive writer, bloody rare to find one who actually pulls it off, as in still gets a meaning across with concision. Sharp arbitrage of speed and risk, closest thing I can think of to Cicero’s ‘motus continuum animi.’

Probably takes a drink or two to connect like that: he literally paints his senses on the page.”

TYING UP THE PINES AT TEA TREE GULLY

DRINKSTER donated a bunch of business ties from a previous life to Annabelle Collett's Material World installation in Pine Park Reserve, behind Gallery 1855 at Tea Tree Gully in the foothills near Adelaide. Over a series of workshops, locals helped Annabelle make this from heaps of waste fabric. It will hang until 7th December. This is a City of Tea Tree Gully initiative. Exhibition photos by Annabelle; the one of the YaYa artist with the 'Revellin' Evelyn Downs truck was taken up the hill at Paracombe Wines by Philip White
